They can fish in the day, though they appear to be just grumpily starring at the water with bucket loads of attitude, but they’re mostly night fishers of insects, amphibians, crustations and fish in the shallow water. We spotted this juvenile at Kakadu NP in the NT, but they live near permanent water sources throughout Australia and can also be known as Night Ravens.
